Description: Captain Connolly had come to the scene of a reported burglary to help a fellow officer. Upon entering the alley, Captain Connolly was shot in his right side by an unidentified burglar whom nobody had seen. After an operation at the hospital the bullet in his body had not been found and he died six days later.
