Description: Police Officer Cornelius was shot after he responded to a domestic disturbance call. As Officer Cornelius attempted to arrest two suspicious males at the scene, one of the suspects pulled a handgun and shot Officer Cornelius in the abdomen. Although wounded, Officer Cornelius returned fire and wounded one of the men before he arrested both suspects. Officer Cornelius was transported to a local hospital where he died the next day.
