Description: Patrolman Carrisalez was shot after he and his partner stopped a speeding motorist. As Patrolman Carrisalez approached the vehicle, he was shot by the suspect. The suspect had just fatally shot Trooper David Rucker a few minutes prior and was fleeing the scene. Patrolman Carrisalez was transported to the hospital where he died of his injuries nine days later. The suspect was convicted of murder and executed by lethal injection.
