Description: City Marshal Campbell died after he struck his head on December 11, 1926. While attempting to avoid an accident, a driver struck a plank sidewalk which sent a large piece of wood airborne. The wood struck Marshal Campbell in the face, and as he fell, he struck his head on an iron crosspiece. Marshal Campbell was transported to the hospital where he lapsed into a coma. Marshal Campbell did not reawaken and died one week later on December 19, 1926.
