Description: Officer Cantu's cruiser was struck by a drunk driver as he patrolled downtown Houston. The patrol car was struck on the rear left quarter panel, causing it to go airborne for 40 feet before landing. Officer Cantu was extricated from the patrol car and transported to a local hospital where he died shortly after arrival.
