Description: Officer Coblentz was injured on his department motorcycle while escorting an ambulance on an emergency call. Officer Coblentz received a call from dispatch that the ambulance had a critical patient and required an immediate escort. As Officer Coblentz approached an intersection, with emergency lights and sirens activated, he and his department motorcycle were struck. Officer Coblentz was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The suspect was charged with negligent homicide and was fined $250.00 and his license was suspended for six months.
