Description: Undersheriff Conway and his wife, Alice, were killed in an automobile crash while returning from a New York State Sheriffs' Association meeting held in Lido Beach, Long Island. A tractor trailer struck one car, then crossed over to avoid hitting a second car but collided head-on with Undersheriff ConwayŸ??s vehicle. Both Undersheriff Conway and his wife were transported to the hospital where they were pronounced dead.
