Description: Officer Chapman was shot as he attempted to stop a burglary in progress at a men's clothing store. Officer Chapman was patrolling the downtown area when a store owner approached him and informed him of the burglary. Officer Chapman instructed the man to call for backup and went to apprehend the burglar. When officers arrived at the scene they found Officer Chapman dead from a gunshot wound through the neck.
