Description: Officer Ciano died of injuries sustained when his patrol car was struck by a vehicle driven by an intoxicated driver. While responding to assist a fellow officer who had stopped a vehicle with stolen license plates, Officer Ciano's car was struck by a vehicle making a left turn. The patrol car skidded off the road and crashed into a utility pole. The patrol car burst into flames with Officer Ciano trapped inside. The suspect was arrested.
