Description: Deputy Carmack was killed when her patrol vehicle was struck by a flatbed truck. The driver lost control of the flatbed truck, which crossed the center line and struck the deputy's vehicle, knocking it into a ditch. Deputy Carmack died nine hours later at the local medical center.
