Description: Officer Cooper was off-duty at home when he heard shot fired. He ran from his house towards the commotion. A group of robbers had attempted to rob a bank and exchanged gunfire with another patrolman. The robbers escaped on a horse-drawn milk wagon. Officer Cooper jumped on the running board of a passing truck and followed the milk wagon, firing several shots at the robbers. One of the bandits fired back, killing Officer Cooper.
