Description: Deputy Jailer Callis was killed in an automobile accident on the Western Kentucky Parkway. He and another jailer were en route to pick up a prisoner when their Crown Victoria started to slide sideways on the snow-covered parkway. A tractor trailer traveling behind them was unable to stop and struck their vehicle. Deputy Callis was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries one week later.
