Description: Patrolman Chason was in the backroom of a store checking in on the proprietor when a man entered the premises and attempted a hold-up. Patrolman Chason heard the demand and drew his weapon. The suspect fired and Patrolman Chason answered in kind. Patrolman Chason was fatally wounded and died at the scene. The suspect was also killed.
