Description: Trooper Crooks was shot once fatally while attempting to apprehend a murder suspect. Two Tampa Police Detectives, Bell and Childers, were shot and killed earlier that day by same suspect. Weapon used to kill officers was an AK- 7 assult rifle. Suspect committed suicide.
