Description: Corporal Crump and Officer Arnold Strickland were shot and killed while booking an 18-year-old suspect for operating a stolen vehicle. While booking the suspect, he grabbed one of the officers' service weapons and opened fire. Corporal Crump and Officer Strickland were shot fatally, as well as Dispatcher Leslie Mealer. After stealing a department Crown Victoria and fleeing the scene, the suspect was apprehended in Lowndes County, Mississippi.
