Description: Officer Conrad was shot while attempting to serve a summons to a man who had failed to show up as a witness in a criminal case. Also killed in the incident was Charles County (MD) Deputy Sheriff Lawrence McParlin. D.C. Police Lt. David T. Dunigan was killed later in the day trying to arrest the suspect.
