Description: Deputy Sheriff Counts was shot as he approached a suspect with a warrant for his arrest. The suspect ran, with Deputy Counts in pursuit. The suspect turned and shot Deputy Counts in the leg, severing an artery. Deputy Counts bled to death. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
