Description: Sergeant Conner was shot when he and fellow officers responded to a shots fired call at a residence. The suspect was heavily armed and was threatening to kill others and himself. Although mortally wounded, Sergeant Conner was able to return fire, wounding his assailant. The suspect was convicted of murder and executed by lethal injection.
