Description: Marshal Cross was shot and killed by a gang of desperados as he rode his horse home from work. Marshal Cross's body was dragged off the main trail and into a wheat field by his murderers. Marshal Cross had arrested several of the gang members in a recent raid. His death was an act of revenge.
