Description: Constable Clark and Deputy Lange were part of a four man posse, who were pursuing two ex-convicts wanted for robbery and assault. When they entered the suspects' camp, and attempted to serve warrant suspects refused to go peacefully. Suspects and officer fought. One suspect ran for his rifle and shot Constable Clark, injuring him fatally. Deputy Lange was beaten and died from a fatal blow to his skull.
