Description: Patrolman Connor died of rabies he contracted from a rabid dog bite. Patrolman Connor was on patrol when he responded to screaming he heard. Officer Connor found a large dog growling at a young girl, and as he pulled the dog away he was bitten in the arm. Patrolman Connor then shot and killed the dog. At the time there was no cure for rabies. Officer Connor's health deteriorated and he finally succumbed to rabies a week later.
