Description: Officer Cox was shot and killed while pursuing a robbery suspect. Officer Cox received information from dispatch that a suspect had stolen a car from a local restaurant and was currently involved in a high speed chase with law enforcement. Officer Cox went to the scene and saw the suspect fleeing the stolen vehicle. Officer Cox engaged in a foot pursuit with the suspect. Officer Cox was shot in the neck by the suspect and pronounced dead at the scene.
