Description: Deputy Sheriff Casebolt was shot by an associate of an inmate in his custody. The man was enraged that he was not allowed to talk to the inmate and shot Deputy Casebolt in the abdomen. The man was killed in an exchange of gunfire with responding deputies. Deputy Casebolt died of his injuries two days later.
