Description: Officer Collins was shot and killed when he intervened in a robbery at a local grocery store. Officer Collins was in uniform, working off duty security at the store when two armed suspects entered the store and announced a robbery. When Officer Collins identified himself and told the men to put up their hands, he was shot by both suspects. Officer Collins was able to return fire and wound both suspects before he collapsed and died.
