Description: Corporal Carrithers responded to a burglary in progress call. As he approached an intersection with emergency lights flashing, he was involved in a collision with another vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital with a closed head injury. Corporal Carrithers lasped into a coma as a result of his injuries he received in the accident. He remained in a coma until his death on August 17, 1995.
