Description: Officer Cavaliere died of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident while he escorted a wedding procession. He was on duty, in uniform, and on a department motorcycle when another New Orleans Police Officer on his way to work struck Officer Cavaliere's motorcycle. Department granted Officer Cavaliere posthumously the rank of Sergeant the day after he died. No charges will be filled against the other officer.
