Description: Police Officer Cotton was shot and killed in a parking lot while attempting to arrest a rape suspect. Officer Cotton was attempting to handcuff the suspect when he wrestled her service weapon away from her and shot her several times with her own gun. Officer Cotton was pronounced dead at the hospital minutes later. The suspect was arrested and charged with first degree murder.
