Description: Sergeant Cordero-Guzman was shot with his own gun after intervening in a disturbance while off-duty. Sergeant Cordero-Guzman was at a local restaurant and observed a group of people who were creating a disturbance. Sergeant Cordero-Guzman identified himself as an officer and was attacked and beaten by several members of the group. A suspect then gained control of Sergeant Cordero-Guzman's service weapon and fatally shot him in the chest.
