Description: Sergeant Cainas and his partner were dispatched to a neighbor dispute. The officers knocked at the suspected offender's door which was met with a single gunshot through the closed door. The shot struck Sergeant Cainas at the back of the head. Sergeant Cainas lingered in a coma for six days before he died.
