Description: Patrolman Coleman stopped his patrol car at Duncan Plaza to assist a fellow officer. Patrolman Coleman was shot and killed by sniper fire as he stepped from the car. The sniper shot and killed Deputy Superintendent Louis Sirgo, Officer Paul Persigo and Cadet Alfred Harrell over a seven day period before he was shot and killed by police sharpshooters. Officer Edwin Hosli, Sr. died of his wounds three months after the incident.
