Description: Marshal Clapp and his son, County Jail Officer Aaron Clapp, responded to a domestic disturbance where a suspect had assaulted his girlfriend. Marshal Clapp and Officer Clapp attempted to arrest the suspect and wrestled with the man for several minutes before back-up jurisdictions arrived. Fearing that he was having a heart attack, emergency workers gave oxygen to Marshal Clapp and transported him to a local hospital. Marshal Clapp was pronounced dead upon arrival.
