Description: Police Officer Cowell suffered a fatal heart attack after issuing a reckless driving ticket to a DUI motorist. The passenger in the car intervened and verbally attacked the officer. As Officer Cowell attempted to place the intoxicated suspect under arrest, the passenger intervened and a scuffle ensued. Officer Cowell wrestled the passenger to the ground and secured the handcuffs. When Officer Cowell stood up to place the passenger in the patrol car, he collapsed. Officer Cowell was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
