Description: Officer Caywood and Chief Fred Trammel spotted a vehicle in the immediate vicinity of a convenience store that had been recently burglarized. As the officers went to investigate, the juvenile suspects sped off. Chief Trammel attempted to overtake the car, but the driver rammed the Chief's car, causing it to flip over. Officer Caywood was thrown from the car and pinned underneath. Officer Caywood died before help arrived. The suspects were apprehended.
