Description: Patrolman Cronin was detailed to the jail at the Margaret Street Station. There he assisted two fellow officers arrest a suspect and transporting him to the jail. When the officers attempted to remove the suspect from his residence, the suspect resisted assaulting all three officers. Patrolman Cronin was kicked in the abdomen by the suspect and immediately felt weak and began to lose consciousness. Patrolman Cronin had a heart attack and died while being transported to a local hospital.
