Description: Captain Cashin was killed in an automobile accident when his unmarked patrol car left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Captain Cashin was responding to a report of an erratic driver on Route 1 North and was en route to the area at the time of the accident. Road conditions were slippery with snow on the ground. Eyewitness accounts confirm that Captain Cashin's patrol vehicle slid across the roadway due to the icy conditions.
