Description: Detectives Childers and Bell were transporting a suspect who had shot and killed his four-year-old son. The suspect removed the handcuffs with a hidden key, took Detective Childers' gun and shot and killed both detectives. The suspect escaped by carjacking an automobile. He later shot and killed Florida Highway Patrol Trooper James Crooks before committing suicide.
