Description: Trooper Coyle was escorting and attempted payroll robbery suspect to a station for questioning. The suspect, in the back seat alone, fired a blank into Trooper Coyle's face. Then he wrestled Coyle's revolver from him and fired two shots into Trooper Coyle's back. Death waws immediate. Prior to service in the State Police, Trooper Clyle served in the United States Army and two years with the Pennsylvania Sate Police.
