Description: Detective Camfield was working security detail at the Rocket Club when he arrested a patron with a pistol and confiscated the weapon. Another person grabbed Detective Camfield's partner?s gun, pointed it at Detective Camfield and demanded the confiscated weapon. Detective Camfield drew his own weapon and fired at the suspect who then returned fire. The subject died at the scene. Detective Camfield died several hours later at John Peter Smith Hospital.
