Description: Deputy Sheriff Cloaninger was shot as he and fellow officers attempted to serve a warrant for assault with a deadly weapon. Deputy Cloaninger was attacked and fatally shot by two brothers of the suspect. The three suspects fled the scene but were apprehended. The suspects were convicted of murder and received respective prison sentences of 20 years, 30 years and death by electrocution.
