Description: Deputy Conley was shot and killed after returning from McLennan County on official law enforcement business. As he exited the train, Deputy Conley witnessed a suspect threatening a citizen with a pistol. Deputy Conley drew his pistol and ordered the suspect to drop his weapon. The suspect grabbed Deputy Conley's weapon and shot him in the chest with his own gun. Deputy Conley died the next day from his injuries.
