Description: Sheriff Roger Coursey and Undersheriff Ray Blaum stopped a suspicious pickup truck. As Sheriff Coursey stood near the driver's door, the driver shot him in the chest, killing him instantly. Undersheriff Blaum fired at the pickup as it sped away on Colorado 149. The pickup was found abandoned a short time later, and a manhunt began for the suspects. Several weeks later, the bodies of the two suspects were found in an apparent murder-suicide.
