Description: Officer Carrera was shot while serving a warrant at an apartment building during a narcotics raid. Officer Carrera was part of a team serving a narcotics warrant on a duplex off Riverside Avenue. Officer Carrera was shot when he and fellow officers attempted to arrest a suspect inside one of the apartments. Officer Carrera was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
