Description: Special Agent Curl was transporting a fellow employee home after attending an HIDTA Christmas party. His co-worker had been drinking and was asleep the majority of the ride home. The man awoke and suddenly shot Agent Curl at point blank range several times. The Department vehicle was recovered in a ditch. Agent Curl was found dead at the scene. His assailant had minor injuries and was taken into custody on murder charges.
