Description: Detective Carmack and Detective Ben Johnston were approaching two suspects regarding the death of Officer Jerry St. Clair. The suspects exited the vehicle and began firing. Detective Carmack was killed instantly. Detective Johnston was wounded and died four months later from his injuries. A juvenile suspect was wounded and captured at the scene. The other suspect was later arrested in Idaho.
