Description: Deputy City Marshals Crittenden and Leon Romer were shot while attempting to serve an eviction warrant. When the Deputy Marshals informed the tenant that he would have to vacate the residence, the man opened fire with a .40-82 caliber rifle, fatally shooting both deputies. The suspect was arrested after police deployed teargas into the barricaded residence after an extended exchange of gunfire.
