Description: Detective Cole was shot, while off-duty, by a suspect whom he had arrested several times. Without provocation, the suspect approached Detective Cole, who was at home in his yard, and shot him twice with a shotgun. Detective Cole was transported to the hospital where he died. The suspect was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.
