Description: Officer Cook was shot and killed while conducting an investigation outside one of Chicago's Metra Electric Line station. Because of several recent armed robberies at many of the Metra stations, surveillance teams were stationed outside of the stations. Officer Cook was shot in the head several times, while seated in his department patrol vehicle. Officer Cook was pronounced dead at the scene.
