Description: Deputy Sheriff Causey died as a result of smoke inhalation after providing security at the site of a multi-structure residential fire that destroyed and damaged over a 100 homes two months earlier. Deputy Causey was exposed to dense smoke during his shifts and reported difficulty breathing. Deputy Causey was diagnosed with smoke inhalation and remained hospitalized until his death on May 19, 2013.
