Description: Sheriff Campbell and two of his deputies had just arrested a suspect for public intoxication. The suspect, not handcuffed, was allowed to go back into the bar to tell his girlfriend he was going to jail. Upon hearing this, some of his friends assaulted the deputies as they attempted to take the suspect out of the bar. As Sheriff Campbell was getting into his cruiser, he collapsed and died of a heart attack two hours later at the hospital.
