Description: Deputy Sheriff Cooper was shot when he responded to a domestic disturbance call. The suspect was threatening to kill his estranged wife when Deputy Cooper intervened and attempted to make an arrest. The suspect shot Deputy Cooper once in the chest with a revolver. Deputy Cooper died at the scene. The suspect was arrested and convicted of second degree murder.
